Our business is an interesting mix of agriculture, manufacturing, service and retail which all have some unique challenges in terms of management and accounting.
Success Group have helped us to address many of these challenges. A good deal of this has required a lot of outside the square thinking – something you definitely get with Jeremy in particular. An example of this was a major adjustment to our chart of accounts which has enabled us to finely tune each part of the business and maximize profit from the different income centres. It also allowed us to better see and understand our key performance indicators.
Another project Jeremy instigated was a careful assessment of stock (a real issue in the wine industry) even though I didn’t think it was necessary. The result was an additional $150 000 of working capital, something that is very difficult to find these days!
Success Group do all the things you ‘expect’ from an accountant. It is the unexpected things that really add value. Jeremy has a very capable and committed team around him which means that in my case, working with Jeremy is like having a business (and sometimes personal!) coach free of charge. Jeremy also participates in my Board meetings such is my trust in him and his judgement.
